[It's supposed to be a lot getting colder out... eventually.  I think.  So, in order to divert any cold-weather complaints (sadly, for which I am known) I'll be using the impending chill as an excuse to stock pile some handmade, layering pieces to my otherwise barren, fall wardrobe.  The Micaela Greg A/W 2012 Collection has just the right amount of geometric patterning and neutral knits to empty my already-almost-empty) wallet quite quickly.

If I wasn't so obsessed with hoodies, t-shirts, jeans and sneakers, this is how I would dress, hands down.  The cool greys, saturated navys, olives, creams and blues are paired perfectly with bright scarves, bold, high-waited belts and just the right amount of jewelry.  Loving it.

Plush colors, feminine silhouettes and bold shapes have me obsessing over the 2012 Spring/Summer RTW line by Jill Stuart.  The whole collection seems to be a nod to Candy Land (aka the best game ever for ages 4-10 and 28), the working woman and fairy tale princesses all in one.  Great color inspiration and it goes to show that juicy pastels DO have a place in the land of fashion.  Not my usual style, but I enjoy it!

Have you ever seen something you wanted SO badly, immediately decided that YES, you are going to buy it and then recanted in horror when you saw the price? Yeah, sometimes scarves will make you do that.  I have a huge appreciation for handmade and unique/functional design, but no matter how much I like this, I seriously cannot buy it. Loving the dusty/distressed tones + opaque color pallet of the newest Madewell look book. The bold, bright stripes and tortoise-shell glass are really speaking to my inner nerd as well.
